Angel Milky Egg White Tarts (27 Jun 14)
Angel Milky Egg White Tarts
I injured my right wrist and couldn't do anything for the past few days with my bandaged wrist. Even lifting a spoon is a challenge. Today, I still couldn't even lift a cup of water with my right hand. Sigh..
However, I am in the mood to bake today and luckily, I have a batch of homemade frozen tart dough in my freezer (made 1 week ago), so I decided to bake a small batch of sweet treats for Mr Khong.
Due to my right wrist injury, I have to use my left hand most of the time, with as little strength used on my right hand as possible. So I am baking in a very very slow pace.
I find it really convenient to pre-made the dough and store it in the freezer. Any time I feel like baking, I can just take a small portion of the dough to bake a few sweet treats.. just like today. Happy!! =D
This is a high protein, high calcium sweet treats as no egg yolk is used for the custard. For the milky egg white tarts, I just baked 4 cups as I baked another sweet treats too - four berry crumble tarts! ^_^
I simply love the pure white colour of these milky egg white tarts - as pure as angels.
